change card rental price for the next person#969

We should be able to change card rental price for the next person after current contract is over without penalty.

Currently, in order to change the rental price, the owner has to cancel the rental if the card is currently rented. If you cancel the rental, you have to wait for 24 hours after the previous person used it until you can rent the card to the next person. If we kept the original price, we don’t have that penalty. This doesn’t make sense to the card owner. It’s my own property, I should be able to change the rental price of cards for the next renter without penalty.

1) The 24 hour cooldown after a rental is returned is a bug. A fix is currently being tested, so hopefully that arrives soon. That punishment is definitely not intended.

2) I do agree with you that it would be nice to be able to change the price without needing to pull the card down from the market. This costs time/money if you aren’t available to make that change immediately. It would be great if Splinterlands added this, but I’ll also recommend making this suggestion over at Peak Monsters as well. Splinterlands relies on 3rd party sites like PM to expand some of the market features.

To Jared,
1) I’m glad that it is a bug and that the fix is being worked on. I hope the fix will come soon.

2) good suggestion there. I will make a suggestion to Peakmonsters.

Yes, this is a good idea. It’s kind of necessary to constantly adjust prices throughout the season, and it’s currently more difficult than it should be.

If it is a bug, why is it not fixed? it is a matter of 5 minutes, but it is still not fixed, I think there is a big lie here!

That’s not how it works. The reason for the bug has to be identified, then code a fix, then thoroughly test that fix with the entire rest of the game to make sure it doesn’t break anything else. Any or all of these can take significant time. Plus once a fix is ready, it’s common to wait and roll out multiple fixes/update at once to be efficient with things.
