Update rental prices without cancelling on our renters#471

Allow renters to update rental price while a card is currently rented, without changing the current contracted amount until the contract ends. Then allow the current renter first option to take the new price or create a new contract with the updated price.

Dual purpose will allow rent-lords to keep updated rentals without premature rental contract breaches, keeping both card owners and renters equally happy.

I honestly think that may be very complicated for splinterlands to include into the rental protocol. The most likely is for them to simply allow a price change which sadly means it will cancel the rental. But maybe the present renter can have the opportunity to extend before the 24hr period remaining expires.

just need to be able to update the price for the next day on a card thats already rented out. if you dont want to change your rentals on someone then whats the point of updating the price

It would not change the rental contract until the contract was sponsored to end anyhow. That’s the importance of the contract and keepin the sanctity of the agreed terms. However, when the projected contract ends, the price would automatically be updated to the owners new terms. Resulting in better quality of life for both owner and renter. Meaning I don’t have to cancel my rentals for poor fellas just because I want to update the price daily.

The option to have the renter have priority extension over the owner would have the exact opposite affect. The card owner should still have the final check and balance, not the renter. Especially in a market so ridiculously undervalued.

there are no contracts in order to update the price going forward the pesone renting the card has to let it go. if you dont want to change prices on people dont update your rentals on cards rented out for more then 24 hrs
